Spools store and dispense thread, wire, and ribbon. But they have always been too interesting to waste when that job is done. Join a long tradition of inventing new life for spools. build some classics. build a spool tractor. Construct and master a spool cord loom. Create an artful Tower of Hanoi, a classic stacking puzzle.
Then find your own way. Take a handful of spools (we have many sizes) and invent something artful, practical, or whimsical.
MAKE because…making requires making old things serve new purposes.
