The Frankenstein story, first published by Mary Shelley in Eli Whitney's time, has come to life again as it seems to every four years. Perhaps it's a reminder that we must be galvanized to keep the awkward machinery of government moving by the spark of the vote.
Assemble the experiments that are the beginning of electrical science. Use static electricity and battery circuits to attract, repel, vibrate, levitate, spin, light, and spark your own experimental dog (assembled from wooden parts) inspired by the brave and sweet Sparky in Tim Burton's new film.
(Safe and accessible for the young; exciting and instructive for more experienced students.)
