In the 19th Century, Connecticut was a major manufacturer of ivory buttons, beads, combs and piano keys. As it became clear how much harm was being done to Africa's elephant herds, our Connecticut workshops substituted new raw materials. But elephants are still in trouble. Their grazing lands and migration routes are shrinking. Artists in Europe have staged Elephant Parades to tell their story and to raise funds for elephants preserves. Construct two small elephants. Decorate them to join our elephant parade. Learn about efforts to save elephants after centuries of service and sacrifice. 10% of your fee will be contributed to Elephant Preservation.
