A Design Lab project.
Everyone will build a battery controller and a motor box. Then 3 teams will explore 3 different systems for walking, including a study of the brilliant Theo Jansen's work (http://www.ted.com/talks/theo_jansen_creates_new_creatures). This is a prototyping workshop. We are starting with qustions, not answers. You can collow the work of your team or branch out on your own. We will leave the last hour for pulling together your work. You will leave with a better understanding of the mechanics of walking, a working motor pack, and something that crawls, walks, or dances.
Research in this lab will shape designs for summer robots.
